Reflection: While navigating through this course this semester, I feel that I've been able to successfully demonstrate my ability to purposefully integrate multimodality, multiple languages, and/or multiliteracies into writing products to support my goals. For example, one of the early assignments from this semester was a discussion post titled "Introduce Yourself" where students were required to integrate multimodality within their discussion. The reason I chose to include this discussion post as the article was because it allowed me to use multiple modes of writing. When introducing myself to my peers, I included both a written text giving information about who I am and the interests I have, and in addition to the written excerpt I included a recorded video. The video also depicted myself explaining who I am as a person and the interests I pursue. The inclusion of multiple writing modes in the discussion, and the fact that I received full credit for the assignment, indicates my ability to successfully integrate multimodality into my writing to support my goals.
